How do you add "capital ship"correctly to the game?
I tried adding the Ophiuchus to the game (a big ship),but the end of the ship is "destroyed" when i spawn and it don't seem to fit fully in the editor;
yeah so steam seems to be annoying again and don't want to let's me paste stuff,but basically there the Poleaxe(a massive capital ship) in the workshop,the author managed to get it in the game,but for some reason,my Ophiuchus can't even fit in the mood tool windows even if it's not "bigger".Just a little bit longer and less large.
edit: it seems like the "diffuse map" file is cut at the end,meanwhile the other file are fine.I fixed it by replacing it by the original file and not the exported version.
edit:the ship is ridiculously slow tho.Can't even move,i am curious how did the author of the Poleaxe mod managed to make it able to move.
EDIT:also the ship do not render the same way as it render in the modtool,it look horrible.

had same issue like you. i had to make ship smaller (resize it) so his endings werent at img borders. be sure to make some space between your ship and img border (last time i had like 1 px between border and my ship, now i have over 30 and everything looks ok)

it is big ship, so you have a lot of mass to move. you need really big engines to move it. my right now moves for 30 m/s and it will be slower when i finish it. unless i will upgrade engines.

cant help with render, my is pretty. at least i think like that ;)

ModTool and Game uses exactly same rendering, it is 1:1 clone (tho MT dont have postprocessing, so if anything it is slightly worse), thus I would suggest to check layers.

Well no offence,but my ship can't fully fit in the mod tools(the lower part of the ship top layer get cuts when exported),but i can manualy replace the top layer with the "uncut"version of the top layer,and it show up correctly in the game,so i think it's something wrong with the modtool.

Let me explain, export doesn´t care about ship fitting inside mod tool screen or not, it just a backbuffer rendering while all processing happens off screen. There is rare framework bug where at export lower 25% image wont get exported and it is at the moment, sadly, out of my control, it can happen to any layer at random, I mean you seen that other layers exported correctly. To fix it restart mod tool.

Furthermore I recommend not to make ship larger than 1024 * 1024 as they are not officialy supported, I will make some sort of warning in mod tool later.

Having just make ~300x650 ship I cannot recommend making such large ships either xD They don't fit in the ship editor (you can't zoom out far enough for an overview) and it takes for bloody ever to fit them with all the stuff they need. Still, going to be a fun project
