Skinning the Unskinnable

I've noticed that there's some weapons that don't have "edit skin" as an option. I want to make a skin for a certain pistol, but the lack of a button is holding me back. Is there a way to bypass that while also being able to publish to the Workshop?

Some of you may know there is a mod that allows you to edit skins that dont let you click an edit button, dont use it, there is a reason Overkill chose those weapons to not be editable.
