Which is even worse honestly.
This sounds like a bug, as %50 of any damage to the destroyed leg should be transferred up into the torsos. ( 25% to front 25% to back )
so it may SEEM invincible but it's just very reduced damage.
(This was a very much used tactic in MWO, using dead arms as shields to reduce incoming damage)
It should in this case transfer to the other leg I think. Or just not. It's extremely frustrating trying to leg lights for salvage only to have them blow up because you hit the dead leg, taking great care not to hit the torso.
the legs are not attached to eachother, how would damage transfer, thats why damage transfers to the torso instead, they are directly connected.
It really should be removed when destroyed, none of the newer games do that anymore. At least with the Battletech PC game, it's irrelevant since that's not a shooter game like this is, it's more just a cosmetic annoyance.
I can only assume that designers just can't fathom a cosmetic way to portray the mechs still trying to limp around on only 1 leg now.
