I would do it myself, but where's the editor? Not on steam, at least.

The Flamers are powerful, continuous short range lasers that do a bit of heat damage. They're very powerful, I find, especially quadded on the Pirate's Bane. However, the particle effect gets in the way and makes the weapon feel much weaker than it actually is.

I don't know how the editor works, nor do I know how the visual effects of weapons are handled, but this should be easy. Replace the flamer's inaccurate and weak particle, shooting, and hit effects to match that of the lasers, preferably colored yellow or orange. Bonus points for giving it laser sounds.
