Lost progress after Mod download+Crash

Hi, it just happened to me that i had my entire squad leveled up to the max, and had lots of mission starts, was about to finish all the non campaign missions so i downloaded missions from the workshop, to keep playing more, but, when i enter, i have it crash a couple times, the game stops responding and when it finally does, all my progress is gone, i only have the campaigns missions completed and stars, but my entire squad is now back to lvl 1... is there a way for me to get all of it back?

Hi,

usually a crash don't wipe the saves...

From your browser, go to https://steamhost.cn/account/remotestorage and see what is the date of the last Steam Cloud upload for DK.

If the corrupted saves were already uploaded, I doubt that can be recovered something.

Anyway, you can manually edit the XML files and level up the new squad this way.

Generally speaking, as a suggestion from a old gamer, always consider a manual backup of all games.

Yeah, i have to start doing that, but ill check it out thanks! and well, and about what happened and now that i think about it, my comptuer was malfunctioning and it couldnt connect to any wifi so i had to restart my computer to get it back..and maybe forgot to close the game... that could corrupt the files?

By the way, how can i create backups for games like these?

The pc restart should be happened just in the moment the game was saving changes to XML files... A really bad luck chance.

Saves are in My documents/killhousegames/doorkickers

Just create a zip copy with name and date.
