workshop files are stored. to know which mod is what file, go to their page and right click subscribe, view sorce. then in that page hit ctrl f and look for var publishedfileid . that shows what the folder number is. if a mod maker updates their file, it will overwrite that file, i have read. so move the privet file you edited to somewhere else. you can move it into darkest dungeons mod file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\mods is what i read.
