Workshop Tag Request Thread - Summer 2021
The old discussion has become hard to use for steam moderators due to lag so there will be a new discussion created each season

If you want category tags added to your Workshop item, post a response to this thread including:

  • A link to your Workshop item
  • The tags you desire

List of possible tags [i.imgur.com]

Tags should be appropriate to the item's appearance and should not exceed 3-4 tags, except for special circumstances.

Tags can now be self edited on all your creations, just tried it myself, from right inside the editor.

You don't have complete control yet and there are a few tags that need to be added for more exotic creations but you can edit your own creations in the editor and upload the changes to your workshop item, it is very easy.

Tap O, choose category published, open creation in editor, Tools>Edit information, select your tags, save as, save new, confirm, upload as, choose the same creation, overwrite, confirm, if you didn't make any other changes leave the update switches off, confirm, it will take you to your creations workshop page, your tags will be there. ( Well it has a lot of steps so it wasn't that simple )

They aren't legacy once you bring them in the editor and check them out and resave them, then overwrite the workshop item or upload an alternate 1.0 compatible version to the workshop. I am steadily converting my creations over, most require very little changes, a few are not going to make the transition because of physics changes.

Right now i am like emeril, instead of saying bam, i'm saying TAG, tags here, tags there, everythings getting tags.

Hope the most requested tags are being taken note of to added to the standard tags available on the workshop and assignable through the in game editor.

You can tag it yourself in 1.0+ but only 3 tags, you can't tag race car and truck as they are both in the same category.

this is outdated and doesn't do so anymore so your vehicles cannot be tagged
