How to edit squad weapons?

How do I edit the weapons squads carry? Because I made a Soviet tanker squad but they carry invisible weapons and I would like to give them PPShs so it doesn't look like they're playing pretend soldier.

As far as I can tell, not all squads have the necessary animations to use certain weapons. IIRC I found a squad that would display the desired weapons, and substituted its figures for the squad I was modifying.
