New Engines
Do any of y'all think that modders will be able to create new engines or more engines will be added in future DLCs? I love building and swapping motors like I do in real life but the selection is pretty lack luster. Is modding engines even possible or am I holding out for something that won't happen?

No, creating new engines, transmission, suspension, interior parts and any other parts, except for a car bodies, is not possible for modders, unfortunately.
As for the devs, they, most probably, will eventually re-release their CMS2018 DLCs with more engine types and cars.
Unfortunately, even with those DLCs, the game still will be missing the most wide spread and used types of suspension and engines. And it is a shame.

Modding in anything other than the car bodies themselves is not possible
