Just a suggestion for the devs. Add a item limit for when you want to make say 100 cables but down want to baby sit it. Tell it to produce 100 cables then leave. Once 100 cables have been produces the machine will either shut off or just stop producing (I don't know which one makes more sense in game) It would still be easier to automate then to do it manually so it doesn't make a precedent to not automate the production of things it would just make the starting up a little tiny bit easier.
