Outside-of-mission variable storage?

I'm going to buy this game so please tell me is it possible to store different variables outside of the missions? For example player loadout and other stuff.

I mean modding by the way, custom missions and campaigns.

You dont bring anything outside from your missions nor there is a reward for collecting things - also no selling and no money.

But you can save loadouts
