Also, a lot of "outdated" mods still work, as long as they simply add something that doesn't clash with changed basics of the game.
For mods outside of ships? Everyone loves VRO, but be warned it's basically a total conversion and changes the game significantly.
Yeah, nothing beats simply downloading and seeing for yourself if some mod catches your eye.
There are good ones among the least-downloaded ones too.
