Help with my mod
Hello, I was making a mod (for a while now) and it has a load of issues that I don't really understand, I've basically gave up cause of frustration, but it's been a few months now and I was wandering if anyone could possibly take a look at it, and help me finish it :)

Hi! So I actually started the mod from scratch so that hopefully I can do a better job of getting it to work. I basically want to overhaul the units for Ardiaei, but am having issue, specifically the ranged units such as archers and horse archers. but right now the issue I'm having is my units aren't appearing in custom battles

So I have got a single unit to appear, however their no holding their swords, as in there is no swords. I have tried 2 different swords, I've locked them weapon 2, and the animations and stuff are taken from another sword and shield unit.

Yeah, I instantly need help :( . I can't get the swords to show up, from what I see I'm not doing anything wrong

it is in the details of << and so on wtch again there.
besides u need exactly the same amount of lines like vanilla unit was before, all lines which are too much are kicked, so that maybe this the issue your w#sword was kicked away

I managed to fix the swords by creating them again in the tweak editor, I don't know if there is a fix for this, but when I zoom out, my units vanish completely, and it looks kidna stupid cause arrows are getting show from invisible people

also, I'm basically back to were I was when I gave up last time. It's to do with the bows and their animations. I'm using the hormizd bow, but I can't find the right animation for it, could you give me some advice here

u can exchange bows, but u have to watch the size of your mesh model, and u have incoorporate like Sebidee describes it. watch << and >> and so on. /> etc.

I don't know what any of that means, I have reread the guides again and none of them answer any of these question, but I also have dyslexia so reading is extremely difficult for me. from what I tested I need to use a bow that fits the animation, But am I locked to a hand full of bows, cause can't find any animation for the bow I'm trying to use

You have to include an imposter model for each part in the variantmeshmodel or the variantmeshdefinition, for example for a shield it should look something like:

<SLOT name="shields" >
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/shield/new_shield.rigid_model_v2" decal_diffuse="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/patterns/blank/decal_diffuse" decal_normal="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/patterns/blank/decal_normal" imposter_model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/shield/new_shield.rigid_model_v2" />
</SLOT>
</VARIANT_MESH>

If it doesn't work like this, use one from the original game as these are just sprites.

Thank you so much!!!! After a pain staking amount of work, I got all my units to appear, but could you tell me where the vanilla models are, I've been using modded in assets cause I can't find the vanilla imposter models
