DeI is the most developed mod on the list. It has many changes and introduces new mechanics such as population and classes.

In my opinion it has 2 buts.

Graphically it's not the best, especially some units are subpar compared to other mods. The UI isn't the best either.

At the campaign level, all the scripts and elements in play cause a very bad performance, my laptop suffers from this overhaul. It is only advisable if you have a good PC.




At the moment the best overhaul from my point of view, it has similarities with DeI, but it is lighter and runs better on my equipment. Also is modular, you can use or not population mechanics if that hurts your performance.

Graphically is probably the best of the bunch since it is quite decent both at the level of skins and UI.

This is my recommendation for anyone interested in trying overhauls.




Introduces interesting battle mechanics where morale is paramount.

Introduces new tech trees.

Needs some polishing and I only recommend it for Rome players, other factions abstain.
