What deters most is the immense amount of time, so I would suggest you rather create a small mod (with attention to detail, etc.) as a mod that lasts longer, but where you also put in much more time.
The most in my Opinion is drag and drop or pull//cut Faces. But if you know the Shortcut for rotate, enlarge etc you can build quick a small Mod. NPc`s are also just drag an drop, same with ammunition, Resins, Pistol, Shotgun etc (it is just select and drop them into your map).
if you want them to go certain ways (Np`s), it's a little more work, but there are very easy to understand tutorials.
I think it will rather fail because the time investment will be too big for you, but to build a Mod itself not really.
