Don't think of a story yet. Just get down some good fun game mechanics or enemies. Get good gameplay then worry about a story. Hope that helps!

Im 11 and already have made 2 games that were number one on the workshop. Just follow your dreams and just try and put a lot of time into coding. Once you are really good, you can make really good projects!

Depends on you, if your Mature enough to put the time and effort into you do can do it. I did the same but and messed around but failed, waited a few years and im doing alot better then before. Just take your time and dont think about life yet untill highschool cause ALOT of people say they wanna do this but end up doing somthing else cause there mentaly not able to do it. But i wanna see what you can do.

Just make stuff to learn. Think of something simple you don't know how to do, and make that into a small game and learn from it. Don't make the mistake of jumping right in to making that legendary MMO so many people try to do. It will just frustrate and demotivate you. Start making projects focused on a specific task you want to learn and then after you're a bit more experienced try making something bigger.

Please before you get started get educated, watch tutorials,go on forums looking for code and when you think you're ready, start making your game.Just don't be like some of the kids nowadays who think they know how to programm because they invested 1 hour into a game engine.

I get the point that you're trying to motivate this person, but your games haven't been number one.
