Void Raiders - sci fi hack&slash looking for feedback
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=456899076

Hello everyone!

Void Raiders is about shooting your enemies in top-down randomly generated environment and looting anything that will make your character stronger. The game features fast action with endless tides of enemies, forcing the player to stay on their toes and move at all time. Missions consists of multiple levels, each with its own objective and are finished by defeating the boss. The player’s goal is to level up his or her favourite character, upgrading their gear, spending talent points in order to gain additional powers and abilities, unlock new playable characters and repeating the whole process again.

There is ranked mode planned for full version where players will compete for highest rank in a limited time frame, rewarding the best ones once time period is over.

Game is still pretty early in development, as i started working on it at the end of february this year and its my first game maker project. I want to approach development of this game as open as possible and im planning to release updated build of the game once per week(or two) starting by tommorow official alpha release at game indieDB profile. Hope you ll find couple of minutes to try Void Raiders as its aviable here on game maker workshop and let me know your opinion as its the only way i can make this game a enjoyable experience.

Current version contains one playable character, and whole first mission(2 dungeon floors + boss level).

Thanks for your time!

Just got around to trying it, and I'm pretty impressed! It's not often that something this good gets released on the gm workshop. I haven't played much yet, but I was wondering if I could making a youtube video about it for my whopping 21 subscribers xD?

It looks like you found the old Nuclear Throne / Wasteland Kings source code from Humble Bundle Fortnite and changed the sprites.

No, you are mistaken, i used diablo source code for level generation and some other pieces of code i found online to glue this whole thing together :-P

Regardless of where the code and stuff is from. I'm still happy to see some games with potential instead of super buggy MLG test game.

Thanks for your support Daynar! Ofc its written from scratch, only piece of code i did not wrote was Nocturne games "optimize objects" script for optimising my colision objects after level generation. Level generator was written after watching few tutorials and read few articles about content generation..
