Room Editor Tips: Using Animation for Decoration
Animation in Escape Simulator is often used for practical purposes in rooms to open doors, reveal secrets, or perhaps to change what appears on a screen.

But animation doesn’t have to be related to puzzles, it can also help bring a room to life! For instance, Potions Class by MelonVerse makes extensive use of animation for decoration.

Of course the magical theme makes it easier to use animation for things, but there are opportunities in most settings: perhaps your sci-fi level has some machinery with sliding pistons, or security cameras rotating? While we’re on the subject of decoration, don’t forget about the FX options you have available - in Potions Class there are bubbles in the cauldrons, and the dust spray from the ceiling is a nice touch to give some detail to a part of the room that often doesn’t get a lot of attention.
