New domes ideas
I love the potential this game have but I think adding much more domes will add new and interesting ways for setting up later on game play because survival is not everything. So lets add some fresh and interesting ideas for developers and future mode creators to take from please add as many ideas as you can, here are some of mine:

1. Prison dome
Simple dome that will allow housing of space prisoners send by space police, they will require food and water, will lower prestige of your colony as no one wanna stay in the prison colony they will generate daily income and depending on what facility are avelible to them will riot with low moral. Riots will have to get put down by your security force with stun weapons as each killed prisoner will cost you a lot of credit. You will be able to chose what facilities are prison facilities so you can share existing assets and put prisoners to work.

2. Medical dome extention
Range of injuries that can happen in place like space colony is crazy and putting somone in bed and giving him some herbs might be good for common cold might not help when is coming to radiation poisoning. Adding radiation showers, nursery, operating tables, organ and limbs 3d printers, first aid bots, contamination rooms (imagen damaged simple flu can do in close environment like that) , adding new and interesting injuries will allow you to decide to make space hospital space events like war or pirate attacks will keep steady number of patients coming .

3. Garage
3 Sizes garage with room for simple space buggy , bulldozer that will allow editing map , and logistics vehicle that you can load up with cargo to fix some equipment or transport from to space port.

4. Sanitation
I don't know what filters the air purifiers have but we need some showers and water recycling plants. If you dont have showers moral go down and chances of epidemic go up, if water is low you can get denomination showers that will use power instead of water but with some form of safe radiation eliminate chance of epidemic (decries moral more as you get that microwave taste left) . Water recycling center will allow you to get some water back instead of pumping fresh water all the time , also give option to buy water for new planets with low or none existing water supply, water will be hardest resource to get out there I think they need to put more attention to it.
Recycle equipment will allow you to turn some garbage and waist in useful products, working in this places will lower your moral so you will wanna staff them with bots or prisoner and eventually get fully automated versions.

5. Gambling
Room that will allow visitors and staff to spend their hard earned credits.

6. Kitchen
Automatic food staff is all good for prisoners and start but once you get your place going it will be good to get some real meals going they will waist some food but give you moral boost better the cook better the meals plus will boost your reputation more that space banner and attract better visitors. Plus I will love to see Elon Musk pizza place ;)

7. Lab
Lab will not only research new equipment but also find cures for new space sicknesses improve existing equipment and plants boost your medical staff by diagnosis you will be able to chose do you wanna go more in biology or mechanical letting you improve bots or colonists. Running experiments on prisoners or unexpecting visitors.

8. Pr. Center
Slowly working your reputation up and making sure that last scandal don't damage it too muche.

I think some of this ideas will give you more choice of how you wanna your colony to look is it 4 star hotel or medical center or maybe prison mine colony. I cant wait to here some of yours ideas.

I would also like to see:

1. Garden Dome - basically a dome with a grass floor where you can plant trees (possibly fruit trees), bushes, place a pond, park bench, etc.

2. Aqua-Culture Dome - For raising fish, sea weed, algie, etc.

Like a terrafor dome huge dome where you can chose different bioms rainforest desserts and so on.

And the aqua dome give you two option make nice lake that give bonus to prestige and moral or just straight tank them and maximize production.

I really like the idea of getting prestige from bio/aqua/garden domes. Obviously having a huge park like this would give alot of prestige to any such colony within a community of other colonies, far from earth.

Ya I once play a game where I get as many huge bio doms and fill them up with tree it looks nice but i wish there was more choices of trees and maybe different plants.

security dome - a small dome the size of a airlock - it seals when intruders are detected to seal them till they hack the door allowing more controlled access to the base - of course it would take time to seal the doors / allow security through

hover drone bay - used for floating drones (blimp like probably not on all worlds) these drones can float around picking up goods outside and placeing them in a storage zone in here - allowing them to go over areas like mountains

underground domes - also would allow for allot of new world ideas since some planets surfaces are just to harsh but have untold riches in rare resources

rail way - a dome connected to a underground rail line - rail ways would be connected with the connection tool costing resources / time for the under ground paths - this would allow travel from dome areas for more centralized areas or long distances between larger domes

Terraformer Platforms! like Oxygen, CO2, water vapor, generators. turn that red dust ball into another earth..Eventually. (doesn't work on worlds without some kind of suitable atmosphere)
Eventually you would be able to plant Algae that will slowly create oxygen or whatever that will grow and turn the ground green and then after that you'd be able to plant trees outside the base and after that your colonists will be able to leave the base without a spacesuit or at least have a respirator.

Family Cabins. A place where two colonists can get together in private and have a child.
(if allowed to)

School dome a place where children can go to learn. (perhaps can be upgraded into an academy where some visitors can enrolled and learn ..things)

Eventually turn your Base into an actual City/Trade hub. With business' and shiny skyscrapers. factories, Mall domes, Hotels, casino's and what have you. what's the point of colonizing a planet if you aren't going to actually Colonize it, with people that are born, live and die on that world.

Have Special Builds that increase your prestige like A Spaceship construction station where you can design your own fleet of ships to load up and send out to trade with whoever will take them and earn money with it when they return. (another way to make money)

launch a satellite into orbit around the world, i guess like the Pyramid just increases prestige. unless someone could come up with a purpose for it.

A Garage where like others have said, can make and maintain land vehicles for transporting people large distances and carry more resources from point A to B much faster than on foot. and perhaps large bulky mining vehicles that go into the mines and mine resources at an increased rate to the driller bot. would require a worker to man the Mining vehicle of course.

teraforming would need thousands of facilities to make a world habitable in a short time

however a atmosheric shield though could be considered that would hold in a minor atmopshere around the base however I'd recommend suit refill points for oxygen so people don't have to go inside to refill

I do like the idea of multi tiered domes - like 2-3 floors would help with smaller base zones bottoms a large - 2nd floors medium - 3rd floors small size - or just make if full circle

I would like to see a space command area - maybe a place you could hire traders to go pick up things or deploy weather satilities or solar satilites that fire energy down to the planet bellow for stable power sources

Granted, but for gameplay purposes have lots of em but no need for thousands. just have like, a cluster of Oxygen/Co2/Water Vapor generators scattered around the map.(say 4 or 5 clusters) it would be a slow process. like the ground starts to grow algae 10 days after construction of the generators, and then the ground would just get greener bit by bit for every day this continues.

After lets say a month or so in game the ground would be pretty green, then after a while Pools of Water would slowly start to form. at that point it would start to rain, and you could then go out and plant trees(wherever you want) to naturally generate oxygen. and a while after that then people could go out in respirators instead of bulky spacesuits. and at that point you could recycle the generators, and let nature take over. er, whatever. :/
