considering the amount of wrecks you can recycle, there would be no interest to build any other proudction module for claytronics and hull parts
Indeed. If i were to buy the avarice dlc, I would only need 1 solar cell to power the operation.
Needing only one solar cell is FINE by your logic, so long as it is tucked away in one particular system?
Interesting logic, but I do not subscribe to it.
not like your logic is better and honestly you have to build 9 energy cell production modules to operate it properly it's not the end of the world.
It's just that in order to produce Hull Parts and Claytronics (specially claytronics) you need a lot more complex stations that cost a lot of money to build and you need a constant flow of raw ressources to operate those stations (so you need lots of miners) in comparison the scrap processor only needs energy cells and a few manticore... Make it cheaper and why the hell would you be building the normal claytronics and hull parts production modules ?
there needs to be a downside which is the energy consumptiom
First, it requires wrecks. which aren't everywhere, in fact they can only be reliably found in a few systems, compared to ore and methane which are abundant across the galaxy.
Secondly, it's riskier. where's there's wrecks, there's hostile action. All it would take is for a K to single out your tug and your down equipment which cuts into profits, and experienced crew which costs time.
Or, you know I could just make a hull factory, staff it with a large miner and forget they exist because nothing can touch them.
