Fortunately, I have a great sense of direction, but map markers would be very useful.
I often make use of the world map to explore the surroundings in every direction around my tribe.
This could be to locate points of interest, such as trees/fruit trees, mineral deposits or areas of rich soil and flattish terrain. So, being able to mark out such places that would entail weeks of travel on foot would be very handy.
Placing named storage for such distant locations isn't possible via the world map.
For example... here's my desert tribe...

It's a good location, however, I'm in great need of herbs and more food varieties/trees of which there is little here. But, I can use the world map to locate what I need ;)

Now, I could try to rely on my faulty memory lol, but I'd much rather be able to place markers on the map ;)
