What version of mods do I need to be looking for if I have the most recent version of the game?
also how do I implement them?
Is the box next to the word "incompatible" supposed to be checked for it to mean that it's incompatible or is it just incompatible?
help me I'm new to this

The mods that you see that are labelled "Incompatible" are used by the open beta version.

Two ways you can fix this issue:

1) You can opt into the open beta by right clicking on Automation in your Steam library, then going to Properties. Click on Betas, and from the dropdown menu select "openbeta - LCV4.2 Opt-In Alpha". Note that your existing cars and engines will become inaccessible in the new version, unless you manually export the .car files from your current version, then re-import them into the open beta.

Or if you don't want to opt into the beta,

2) When searching for mods, on the main Steam Workshop page for Automation, go to the bottom right corner of the screen. You will find a dropdown menu labelled "Game Engine"; select "UE4_24" from that and you will now only see mods that are compatible with your version of Automation.

Hope this helps!
