Destinations exporting from Photoscan
I was able to export an FBX from Photoscan and get it into the model editor but the material breaks. I am wondering if it's because I tried to break the texture into multiple 4k textures instead of one 8K? What are the requirements for the materials/textures?

The material should be one 8k texture.

What are the requirements for models imported from Photoscan? Really. Im having huge problems with Destinations regularly crashing when trying to import models from Photoscan. Models with 500k-3M faces with one or more 8k Textures. Sometimes it crashes during conversion from FBX, sometimes during import to Hammer editor. Models that are more complex have higher probabilty crashing, but sometimes model that causes crash one time imports just fine next time. The model that imported succesfully four times in a row crashes on fifth attemtp and so on.

My first thought was that its the lack of RAM as I had only 8GB installed. So I increased it briefly to 16GB by borrowing more RAM from second PC, but I havent seen much improvement.

Can you try with the new .OBJ importer as well?

(While I haven't had any issues with getting stuff from PhotoScan into Destinations, I've usually gone via a modelling program for doing various cleanup stuff first. The imports are up to about 3 million triangles, with a fair few 8k textures - processing is slow, but should work.)

Hey thanks guys. I will try again now.

And for my situation. Importing .obj causes crashes just as well. :( I managed to import and display the object in Destinations in the end but it took me more than hour of repeated attempts to import the mesh. Allways the Same model. Allways the Same(ish) import settings. Until it randomly passes...
