but add in the modder - he makes something the devs didn't want to add cause it is for a smaller group of gamers - maybe hard core waves of enemy combat - automated combat drones - a world the meteors never stop dropping - things no normal player could deal with - enter that strange breed of gamer who not only survives but thrives - they show videos others like them want to prove they to are strong and buy them game to show their stuff - so on and so on
ok sure this is a pretty simple arguement but I mean even if someone added 10decorations and 1 room a month the game would be huge within a years time with no cost to the devs for work people could mix and match all sorts of kits and really custimize the difficulty of the map and really try insane things making people come back for another round of play
while nexus is great for many games - were talking a bit different - I am a long time supporter of it as well as hosting mods myself there as well as here on workshop - it also requires knowledge of computers more then workshop and is a seperate service all togther
also workshop promotes a different style of modding for smaller games - I mean sure fallout 4 and skyrim and massive games like that with tons of players can afford to do nexas but smaller games need the workshop a bit more as it allows less computer savy players to join in and grow the content or at least find it
I mean good example is Kenshi - it has both workshop and nexas mods but if you look at the subscriptions and views the nexus only gets 1 in 10 views the workshop does and there is far more through the workshop then nexas
Assume they are fertilizing the plants.
actually fertilizer to boost production would be pretty solid idea - think the movie the martian - you can't really import fertilizer by the ton cheaply (not to mention the hazard of a highly explosive substance in a oxygen rich envronment like a shuttle) and there isn't really anything on planet to make it..... but you do have colonist...... just saying
see I'd be fine buying a planet base 2 or something like that but I'm wishlisting it till I see the content this time cause after 40 hours (bought it in 2015) I kinda tossed this - where as rimworld (bought 2016 december) I have 300+ hours in cause it has mods
I mean these days mods for a sandbox game is almost a must have
