Workshop - Accepted for game.
I'm wondering why every time I go to the workshop it feels incomplete. I realize most of the threads result in an explanation of how it was intended for personal modding. However you'd think using the "accepted for game" filter would result in ONE mod at this point. It feels like it was abandoned, after the community kept 100% faith defending it hoping they'd release something. I'd like to be wrong here, (and maybe you can prove me wrong) but this seems like one portion of Payday the Devs really never delivered. Thoughts? Solution mods?

How should devs deliver a system which is completely run by Valve?
Valve didn't do nothing.

This has been addressed before in certain mainstream outlets, however they typically hide the link for legal reasons. A simple Google search would yield that information for you.

Oh and "Valve didn't do nothing." would imply they did do something. Double negatives are a ****.

I think it may be because most community-made items became integrated into the game. There are a number of community items like masks and weapons, and a lot of weapon and some armor skins.
But I don't know for sure, it's just my best guess.

I see, they became safe items. That makes more sense.

Agreed. It's just kinda sitting there as it stands.

It's almost as if you can't recognize *the* payday skin collector. The only person with more authority when it comes to reading the workshop than Lammah would have to be a developer. That, or someone like DerSushy or Ewald, but they've mostly moved from Workshop skins to BeardLib skins.

Which reminds me, if you care about the accepted for game filter because you can't wait to see new skins added, you should just install BeardLib and take a visit to ModWorkshop. A lot of DerSushy and Ewald's best work that failed to get into the game has since been released there in the form of BeardLib skin packs, and a lot more skins that have never been actually uploaded to the workshop such as works by myself and HONOUR AMONGST THIEVES are also available there as BeardLib skin packs.

All of that being said though, at the most basic level, the "accepted for game" filter does not work, and seeing as it'll take nothing short of divine intervention for PAYDAY 2 to continue development it'll probably never work. Fortunately, that DerSushy guy I mentioned earlier actually has a collection going that includes every single weapon skin that has made it into a community safe, so if you want a handy dandy archive of what's already been accepted into the game you can just find that in like all of five minutes and call it a day.

I invite good posts. This is a good post that'll give folks a path to go down once they hit that brick wall. Thank you Carl!
Not a problem.
