Where to find a Skin, so I can import it into Photoshop?
Hello, Primal Carnage community. A newcomer to the Development Kit here.

I have opened up the Primal Carnage Editor, and I have to say, it's very impressive! I am overwhelmed. Not just in awe, mind you, but also in my search for skins and, in particular, how to go about editing them.

I've managed to discover that some persons have shared textual descriptions of the process (as Apoc has in a forum post), as well as videos of their creating skins, including a tutorial by Senoba on understanding how the skin-making process works. These do indeed provide some very useful insight and instruction. Thanks to these, I've been able to navigate through the overpowering beast that is SDK, and find the models and the patches of skin texture- or some of them, at any rate.

However, there is something that these videos do not seem to elaborate, which is currently the question which most dominates my mind: How to actually get the skin in question into a program in which I can edit it. I do not know where the skin texture files are kept, and therefor do not know where to import from after I have opened Photoshop. This is the most immediate and imposing barrier I face.

I come here asking the namesake of this thread: Where can I find the skin texture files, so as to import them into Photoshop for editing? And if I find them, can I just do that, or are there additional specific instructions that I must undertake in order to convert them into a form that can go from SDK to Photoshop and back?

If you have read this, I thank you very much for your patience and for your time. And if you have an answer to this, I strongly request that you please share with me. I would be indebted to you.

Ryarod.

Here are the dinosaurs models and textures (I don't remember if it includes humans too) http://primalcarnageforums.com/showthread.php?7051-Looking-for-the-Texture-Bases-and-Models-Get-them-here! Personally I would suggest you to use 3D Coat to make skins because you can paint directly on the model and it's way easier to match each part of the texture.

How do you get the 3D models tho. I downloaded the folder and there is no such thing as a 3D model. Is it because I'm using Gimp to make my skins or what.

In the Senoba Edit in the link I've posted previously you can download the models and textures in a different format. There the texture are .tga and you can open them in Gimp, the models are .obj and you can open them with programs such as Sculptris, Blender and 3D Coat.
