BattleFleet Gothic Mod from the warhammer games workshop universe? I've been thinking about trying this but many ships from Gothic are heavily reliant on broadside fire. The AI and weapon modability seem to limit the application of broadside fire.

i would like some sort of broadside but like you said it is limited on how far you go. but i will see if it can work out.

make a super faction that can 1 hit anything and has sheilds that are stupidly op that it can basicly never be broken and has high range?

A small Faction that has power generated by R, but at massive ammounts of r you can potentaily have an absudly powerful feet.
