Hi Huntern,

you can't add a new nation in RON, you can just replace an existing one.

Open the "tribe" folder (..\Steam\steamapps\common\Rise of Nations\tribes), select the tribe you wanna edit (I suggest to use an xml editor), make a backup copy of the file and modify its entries.

Don't modify the file name.

Opening the file you'll find <TRIBE name="" where you'll write your nation name, <LEADERS> where you'll write the leaders names, <CITIES> where you'll write the cities names, <UNIT_CONTINENT> where you select your country unit continent (0 Europe, 1 Arab etc.) and at the end the two settings for your country buildings: <BUILD_CONTINENT> and <BACKUP_BUILD_CONTINENT>.

You can open more tribes file to look at the different choices you have.

Create your mod folder in "..\Steam\steamapps\common\Rise of Nations\mods" and create the subfolder "tribes" where you'll place your new country file.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but swapping nation powers between the nations is not possible, is it? I planned to make a Renaissance themed CtW and play with the nation powers a bit, but I'm afraid all I can do is to script them (fortunately there's a formula returning the nation's name).

Usually you swap the whole package renaming the nation: if you wanna give to US the russian crafts you use the russian tribe with americans names.

You can try to modify the "rules.xml" file changing the tribe name of a craft, for example change RUSSIAN_SPY_COST in AMERICANS_SPY_COST.

I never tested it, so I'm not sure it will work.

I don't think it will work, but I'll try it. I need a bunch of new nations for my CtW. Is it possible to make a CtW campaign use modified .xml files? I don't want to affect the whole game only for the sake of one specific campaign.

If there is a way I don't know it,

All modifications should be applied through scripting and my knowledge in scripts is limited.

I've got the Solution!
First you must to do is to change All of Whole Tribe-Mask, and Add few Zero number [0] on tha tribe-mask on every data.xml and/or may scripts on Data's Folder to how many Tribes or Nations you can added to your modification Project.

Second you must to do is Tried for modified of all buildings you want to Replaced with.

Third you can added some Units or you can Copy-paste already units and replaced unit's names with your desires. ;)

Hmmm, my Grammar is not good at all, but this is would gonna works! ;)

Ps : Please Backup the Older files before beginning for Modificate!
