- define dange zone
- use the "Create spawner from selection" option
- a new trigger+spawner selection will be created and the future danger zone will be shown correctly
However, there is currently benign a bug that probably caused the confusion: while the cloned dangerArea is initially shown correctly in the editor, it won't be on subsequent map loads in the editor, the points won't be shown, even though they're there and WILL spawn correctly in-game.
