The Cavalier is / was a junk car. By that I mean, when they wear out, you just throw them away cuz, they cost more to repair than what their worth. For example, my wife had one when I met her and her wipers wouldn't work. I inspected the system and found the nylon washer on the arm assemblies were worn out. I asked the dealership to order me some. They refused and claimed I had to order the assembly as a whole unit. They wanted well over $300 for wiper assembly when all I needed was a handful of nylon washers of appropriate size / thickness that would probably cost $1 at a parts store....if they were available. Yeah....throw away car..... just like those Geo Metro's.

Having said all that, the Z24 was kind of a fun little rice burner having the manual ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in it. The automatics were kind of gutless wonders in comparison.
