Base English strings for translation?
Is there a database (or collection) for all English strings used in the game? I am interested in translating the game, but I haven't unlocked everything, so I fear there are unknown strings for me to translate. Maybe it's a good idea to set up a base translations.csv with all English strings already there, or create a Google Docs containing all strings that we can copy to work with (there's a Save as comma-delimited CSV option later to test it in-game). If the translation interest is getting bigger, maybe it's a good idea to set up a system ( i have never done it though, maybe other can elaborate as other topic).

Not yet no, but I'm sure it'll be easier to do full translations once the first one is done since people can then use that as a base. :]

May it be because it can have spoilers? :o

Oh it's just because currently the game's texts are scattered throughout the game's code so is rather a hassle to rummage though it all. Texts are also likely to change in future and new text added so again might be a hassle putting together a single big word list until the game is more stable. Since the game is low resolution I figured it would just be easier for translators to play through the game translating as they go by pressing F6 as you'll need to make sure the words fit within the width limits. :]
Some strings are hidden behind "dangerous" operation though: I was translating the delete save menu and I didn't dare to touch the first option (delete the save file) to see if there are strings after that. Some other strings may also be impossible to see again unless we start over with new save file: as I was browsing the necromancy section of my Compendium, I realized there was one minion undiscovered, which had a subtle hint on how to get the minion (e.g. "I sense joining of.. pots?"). To translate the hints, I must start over with a fresh save file then :D

So, yeah, I guess it's better if us translators build a database of English strings voluntarily, if anyone agrees to...

Spoilers are unavoidable. I once participated translating a mobile game, there was a special build of the game that enabled me to use cheat codes to access some unreleased contents, so I could jump directly to the section of the game which had to be translated without spending time to playing myself to actually reach the section myself. Imagine if it was a 100-hour game and the strings to be translated were at the end of the game :D

I appreciate the initiation to open the translation effort to everyone. Even if I don't manage to translate all strings, I think I'll leave some part of my game translated in my language :D

I agree. Lets build this database.

Hey, caiys!

This F6 idea is a very good move, but for a polish, after translation.

I don't know if this is possible, but do you can share this game code?

I helped in translation of RymdResa and Diluvion to PT-BR

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. I should say this is the first time I've added some translation support so I'm not quite clued up on the various methods. :]
