Also very important to test all Mods one at a time after a game update to find the one(s) that needs to be reported to the Mod author so he can update to the new game version asap.
That said, your weapon Mod is probably not compatible with WC Mod anymore so you will have remove and report to the Mod author asking if he came make it compatible with WC.
++ Important = Always test Mods in a new created world or a copy of you save.
Follow the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that needs to be removed and reported.
How to test a world or find broken/conflicting Mods :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Withdraw or add one Mod at a time in the copy.
5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.
*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.
If you use weaponcore you need to use weapon mods that are made for that framework.
Other weapon mods that don't require weaponcore will not work with it as they are made for the vanilla systems that got replaced.
Edit:
I think this is the non-weaponcore mod you are using:

These here are from the same author and made for weaponcore:

Also, if you don't mind, I have a few more questions:
1-If I'm not mistaken, "WS" means workshop.. right?
2-Where/how should I go to inform mod makers in such cases?
3-Is there a tutorial you can recommend that will prevent me from encountering such situations again?
Sorry, i am a bit rusty on modding Space Engineers, thank you for your help and patience

There may be YouTube videos but better follow the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that needs to be removed and reported, the steps in my post #1

It's the "Joy" of playing with Mods, a lot of testing and troubleshooting come with Mods.
But we get used to at some point because we know the Mods that can run together and the Mod that always need to be updated to the new game version after a game update.
" With great amount of Mods comes great responsibility "
We now have a lot of outdated Mods on the Workshop and some Mods can break the save files at a point of "no return", that means the world save can't be fixed.
Some Mods will delete/replace important "code lines" in the save files that are not added back in when removing the Mod, that is another important to know before adding or removing Mods to your Favorite save.
You should always test one Mod at a time in a new created world, a testing world to know if the Mods are working before adding to your Favorite save.
Take care of yourselves.
(Pssst, hey person reading this post, I hope this information helped you too)
and never by shy to ask the community about a Mod you need that is already tested, and can do so in the "General Discussions" forum where more Veteran players are helping.
