There is another game that will NEVER be finished because it is the developers first game and they said that they will keep adding on to it if people continue to play that game but it is not this game; therefore, some developers WILL support their game for years, or for a lifetime, after 'completion' but only certain passionate developers will do this strategy.
Unfortunately, 'Banished' is not one of these games yet was VERY profitable for a first release. So profitable, in fact, that the developer may have possibly retired from said profits of, according to two financial reports, 2 million copies sold.
One report quoted this developer studio profiting around $10M after taxes...
Trust me I would retire as well.
Game is finished and has great mod support. There is no need for updates.
Actually updates only would break mods.
