How to replace the Combine Charger model. Please Help

After TheParryGod uploaded his Transition Period Overwatch Shotgunner model I expected someone to make a mod that replaced the charger model with it, but no one did. I decided that maybe I could do it if no one else did, but then reality hit me, I don't know how to replace a model with a different one. If anyone can help me figure this out, it would be very much appreciated.

in order to change the model you need a recreated vdml file of the charger since the editor doesn't allow you to edit existing models but you could probably request a mod that adds a charger vdml here in workshop discussions and then once it comes you can edit the vdml of it and add the shotgunner into the game. hopefully you can get the vdml because the shotgunner in half life alyx would be sick
