Mod for better blueprint placing?
Is there a mod to move blueprints without moving the camera? Similarly to Empyrion's blueprint placing?

Hi, I just enable "Spectator" from the world advanced settings so I can go into Spectator mode F8

1 - Hit F8 and postion to have a better view.

2 - hit F9 to take control of your character whlie in Spectator mode.

3 - Access the Projector to reposition the Bp.

That said, we can create better Blueprints by placing the prjector block as the block #1 so the very first block we place on creating a new ship.

+ The block #1 when creating new is the projector default position, so we never have to reposition a Bp IF the projector block/Block #1 is properly oriented and positioned first.

I recommend to watch this video to know more on how to create better Blueprints :

In other words :

-> We can start creating a new ship by placing the projector block as the very first and will not have any problems if oriented properly.

I always do it the opposite way that Dan's described. I build the rover or ship or base enough where I know it's not going to change much on the outside, leaving a place on the bottom somewhere (typically surrounded by other blocks, but still open on the bottom) for the projector. I then move away from the grid, spawn a projector on the ground, attach a column of armor blocks to the bottom of the projector (opposite the gray cross on top), cut the projector/armor block assembly, and paste it so the armor blocks are embedded in the ground with the projector on top (if it's a small block grid, I use a small-block-as-static-grids mod to allow me to do that, or I build a large-grid rotor, replace the large-grid rotor head with a small-grid rotor head, and paste it there). Then I cut the grid that I want to attach to the projector and paste it onto the projector. Since the projector was built first, the pasted grid now recognizes the projector as the grid pivot (i.e., first block in the grid). Then when you want to place the blueprint (or build it), just build a projector, load the blueprint, and everything will be lined up and oriented exactly as you originally built it.
