because the update resets your postal.ini file and that's where your workshop info get stored, and this forces the game to scan for every workshop mod you've subscribed to on startup which could crash your workshop entirely. my suggestion is make a list of your previously subscribed item, unsubscribe and resubscribe while the game is running, or follow my guide to install them manually
