I'm trying to perhaps find a modded map as the officials are just impossible for me with the lack of even basic bandages to stay alive. However, when I look at community maps so many of them have damned near 50 mods...I don't know how to just 'automatically' download them, is there a way? Do have to go to workshop and hunt these down 1 at a time?

There's just no world in official where I can seem to do well. game is either, I can't even find a basic blade, certainly never any medicine to deal with the 100% inevitable infection once zombie cuts run me out of real bandaids and hopsitals are always empty...just...it's just too lame. never get past the 'starvation' stage of a game...shoudn't have to go through 4 towns to find 1 piece of rotten food :( boo
