Where to start with modding custom armor?

Hey, I'm trying to create custom gear/armor for characters for a friend mod, is there somewhere specific i should start looking?

Look at the general item mod creation guide, and use the existing armour items (e.g. body armour) as a starting point. They're likely in the jobgear game assets folder (search for it in the game folders). You'll probably want to use your own custom graphics PNG file and an XML file for the mod, packaged up according to the modding guide, which is most likely to be found on the wiki or in the Steam game guides section for Barotrauma.
