I think it'd be interesting, assuming this is possible to implement, if you could have an additional population with a differing level of susceptibility to your strain. Also possibly, the abiity to set the initial population level for each would be handy too.

Like ordinary humans vs. some kind of mutant that is strengthened. Or males and females, if the creator wants their strain to affect each with differing strengths.
