How to fix subscribed maps not downloading?
When I download particularly complicated custom maps they rarely let me play. Is there a cache I can clear or a button I can press to help stop this?

When you say they rarely let you play, wdym? How is it failing? The community needs more info.

Ah sorry. What I mean is in my subscribed workshop items tab. When I click play on a hammer map a message that reads "this map failed to download" appears. But it happens so often I want to address it properly

"An error occurred while downloading this map!" is what it says

No problems downloading or playing it.

Maybe somehow one of the folders at or below .../Portal 2/sdk_content got marked as read-only?

No I'm still having problems for some reason. I may just uninstall and install again to see if that clears a cache or something
