Suggestions from an amateur
Hey everyone.

Just to start, I want to say that I really enjoy Sapiens. Great work! It is so relaxing to go 10000 years back and just focusing on building and developing basic nees for your sapiens.

I have absolutely no knowledge of modding or programming at all, so forgive me if my suggestions are unrealistic. They are just something I think could make the game even more fun.

I am from Scandinavia, so many of the ideas are inspired from this region. Maybe others have idears from other places in the world.

It is quit a list, as I have spent a lot of time thinking on this. Many of the things on the list might already been suggested So here I go.





Create a way to make buildings transparent, so that you can se what is under the roof. (Maybe by pressing a key)

A sun on the sky

A moon (Maybe even many moons)

Sapiens must have water to survive

Sapiens get more children (Each woman gets 3-4 children at least)

Doors i buildings. (Either by branches and flax or split log and flax)

Drinking tools (Ceramic cups, Woolskin water bags, leather bags)

Means of transport. (Basket from branches, basket from flax, leather bags, buckets from clay)

Water reservoirs (Wells, fountains)

Fishing (use the cooking tool for fish)

Saling. (Wooden canoe, flax boat. Boats can contain many sapiens or cargo)

Make cloth from flax

Make leather from woolskin

Make cloth from leather

More types of trees (Beech, Ash, Larch)

Serveral types of animals, some can be hunted or domesticated.
Non domesticated
(Mooses, Horses, Bears, Otter, Rabbits)
Domesticated, (
Ox(Cow) Wild boars(Pig), Geeses(grey to white goose), Chikkens(Grey to brown chikken), Goats (Black to grey goat). Woolfs (Dogs)

You domesticate animals by studying them, When studied, they change appearance. This allow acces to milking, eggs, meat, woolskin.

On a river or coastline you can find oysters as food

Three sizes of storage areas (Quarter, normal and x4 size)

Different types of weapons for hunting (Wooden clubs(Branches) Bow and arrows(Stone arrowheads, flax, branches) Sling(Small stones and leather)

Buildings can burn, if fire to close)

Buildings protect sapiens from animals (Especially mammuth)

When sapiens die, they don't just disapear, They must be buried or burned. When they die, they are brougt to a atorage and from there buried or burned. Need 2-3 sapiens to perform sermony. (Either stoneheads or branches to perform this)

Appoint shamans or chiefs to lead the tribe (In a way you in the game)

Create Statues or Obelisks for temples.

Again sorry for the list. It's just that I love the game. If I had the ability to create the mods my self, I do them.

Hi, only just started playing, but already have over 75 hours invested in the first week. Absolutely loving it. However, I have to agree, the above list seems like a set of sensible additions. Sadly, like OP, I am neither a programmer, nor a modder.
