Porting over NeoTokyo maps?
I have this idea for anyone who is good at porting over source maps to other source games. Wouldn't it be cool to fight in a cyberpunk subway and japanese temples (THAT DON'T DROP YOUR FPS)? Just a thought, but I'd be grateful if someone actually did it and posted it onto the workshop.

+1 I've had this idea as well. Think it would be cool and maybe kind of fitting for a game like Blade Symphony.

Brilliant.

isolation- would definitely be a better blade symphony map than nt map. no change to it needed. huge lol!

shrine- is also a good choice, especially if you remove the house by rock garden.

dawn- another good choice, probably needs nothing blocked or removed.

skyline- would be epic if the indoor spawn was removed and the areas beneath helipad and turbines were blocked, keeping gameplay "rooftop" focused.

transit- i love this map, would love to see it work in blade symphony but i don't think it's possible without butchering it. its best dueling spot between subway cars is just a little too small

tarmac- you are keeping the tarmac spawn, hangar, and lower bay.. but basement, courtyard, skybridge, and parking would need to be blocked or cut out. not worth it and no real "wow factor" above a normal map.

piss alley- block basement and you have a solid blade symphony map

engage/disengage- block balcony remove alley corridors and it's ok, car tops a big plus.

redlight- a little unnecessary and i think blade symphony has a stock map that achieves in both color and atmosphere what redlight brings.

oilstain- center is just more "garage" and break-room, spawns, and dark corrider bending from flatbed to ghost spawn would need to be blocked. not a good choice.

threadplate- no thanks, nothing interesting here.

vtol- more running/passive than fighting

subsurface- the elevator loading bay big tube spawn and ammo room only.

ghost- white room and indoor spawn area only!

marketa- great motif and tight spots, the layout is not good at all for blade symphony i'm afraid.

bullet- almost as big of a joke as it is for nt but might follow isolation and actually be good?

cabinet- can the best map of nt also become the best map for blade symphony? :rainbowfart:

Wow, thanks for your research! I'm sure a mapper who's interested would make some of those changes you've suggested!

Its easy to do, I would suggest you seek to get permission from the content creators. The only stumbling block I can see is our workshop has a max file size of 100mb so you'd have to be careful what you pack into the .bsp
