Track transforming problems
So I tried editor for the first time and immediately ran into problem I don't know how to solve.

I want to have a normal-width track with high borders. I figured I could use "scale" function to raise Y-scale from default 16 to say 40. Problem: every time I test the level or save and exit scaling snaps back to 16/16/16.

Same problem applies to Z-scale. If I change it to have widening/narrowing sections Y-scale changes in accord, giving wavy border height which looks ugly.

Is there a way to prevent uniform scaling? Pretty sure you can have custom proportions on objects, are tracks any different? I *really* don't want to create a custom out of 3 borderless tracks...

There is one way to kinda trick the editor a bit. If you make a group with the roads, you can change the y-scale of the group and it will be saved. Only problem with this is: you can only do this with flat roads or you will get some weird results.

How can I make a group? Sorry editor UI kinda overwhelms me. Track's gonna be flat anyway, I don't want anything too complicated for my first submission.

Select at least two objects and press ctrl+g. You can ungroup with shift+g. So if your whole track is flat you can easily select all the track pieces, group them, and then scale the group.

In response to your issue about the uniform scaling, I suggest using the transform tools to move the Track Connector Nodes at the ends of each track segment around to "alter" the Z-scale without causing unwanted scaling in the X and Y axes as well. This is because you're not actually scaling up anything, but simply lengthening the track segment. If you want to make the track segments narrower or wider without running into uniform scaling issues, then edit the cross-track scaling (default local X axis) of the Track Connector Nodes rather than the cross-track scaling of the track segment itself.

I scaled track nodes, but thing is, track node always scales uniformly for me. Make track node narrower, and Y-scale follows suit, making border slope down.

Grouping does work, guess I'll play around with that. Maybe if I group sections after assigning custom scale values it'll stick.
