Extreme game loading time with YetAnotherClanMech and Classic Mech Collection Yaml
Hi guys.

Im trying to play with Baradul's mod collection that he uses in his gameplay videos, but I face problem with extreme long game loading time - 20-30 minutes. I narrowed problem to those two mods, that I understand are big and have extremely good collection of mech, but 20-30 min o game loading on SSD? Im playing on win11, i7 11th gen, 32 GB's of RAM and SSD with 2000mb/s load time, RTX3060 PC.
Strange enough before DLC6 came out I didn't recall having such problems, game loaded in max 1 min and everything was working.
From curiosity I checked how much of my PC game is using while loading, but it only uses 1.4 GB of RAM and about 10% of CPU, but I checked it with TaskManager, I will have to dig up more.

Did someone faced similar issue with long game load time? Is there any fix for that ( except not using those mods :P ) that I could use? Or it is just as it is and I have to start game 20-30 min before planned game session?

More mods (especially more mechs!) will increase load times. Though you shouldn't be having 20-30 minute load times. I've stressed tested an old PC (i5 4460, 16gb DD3, GTX970, basic SSD) and even with an ALL THE MODS setup, I got it up to just shy of 10 minutes loading time.

So something isn't entirely right, but you can reduce the load times by cutting mods.

I have many YAML-mech-mods installled and the loadingtimes increases drasticly, but i m on a HDD; first load tile the menu can take 4-5 min, afterwwards missions take maybe a minuter or so.

Go to performance in YAML options there is an option to turn off skin loading.
Skins will still be there but the game won't take ages to load.

I culled down my mod list to just the YAML family of mods now and game runs so much better. More advice I have on this is DON'T collect every damn variant you come across. Most are garbage anyway and will never be pulled out of mothballs.
Cultivate a more refined palliate and collect hero, SLDF, Solaris specials and other such rarities and legends. I mean, if you have a massive bar stocked with every type of grog imaginable and you can help yourself. its not like you are going top dip into the low shelves yeah?

I also prune & maintain my inventory levels too as this starts to bog down the game if left unchecked.

I keep:
Stock of things i use very rarely @ 6.
Stock don't want to run out of @ 12.
Common stock that is used often or is just very rare @ 20-30 .
Standard stock that is always needed @ 50.

Engine cores I keep no more than 4 of each & weapons I just upgrade and that takes care of most of the weapon inventory clutter.

Selling off excess and common clutter mech's nets a small fortune overtime too so... there is that=)

As for classic mech packs. Most of the mechs are in yaml family now anyway and I suspect those classic mechs are all leading up to a bigger mod that replaces the games mech art assets with vintage ones. Started to make little sense after a while running both and then there is the ongoing performance issues with over loading the game with mechs etc.

Also diluted the crap out of the spawn pool and you will find variants that you are looking for less often due to the vast clutter of options. Is advantageous if using V2 Salvage rules if there isn't two of many existing mechs sharing the same name & spawn pools.
