download existing map so i can edit it?

howdy all
i'd like to download a few existing maps, both official maps and community maps, and make minor edits to them.
i'm unable to find a way to DL the maps into my local drive. i'd appreciate any help.

In steam library switch to tools ( small drop down menu top-left on games list ). You need Coh2 tools & Coh2 tools data, once downloaded opens tools and go to archive, then find the file matching the maps number. iirc easiest way was to search the map on workshop and the map number will be in the url.
