From the first screenshot, I see no storage for raw materials. That is what is being imported. You also have a lot of tree plantations. If they are large tree plantations, you need at least 6 wood chip or saw dust storage buildings for each large plantation.

Here is a screenshot of one of my cities and my forestry industry.

The Industries DLC is a mess; it just doesn't function properly. I looked for answers for a while and finally found a mod in the workshop called "Transfer Manager." It does a real good job of patching the problems with the DLC: Basically you have to tell all of your buildings (and transport trucks) which district to originate from, and which district to travel to—as well as what cargo to transport.

Give it a try; I probably wouldn't still be playing if I hadn't found it.

Good luck!

ps if if you want to keep all of the transfers internal (within your network), all you have to do is unselect the "import" button & unselect the "export" button in Transfer Manager. But you have to specifically choose which districts (and you can choose multiple districts) the materials are coming from & where they're going to. You cannot choose, "All Districts."

It might be helpful if you went to the workshop and read all the material on how to use the mod. There are a couple of links on the main page that will direct you to some very specific instructions.

Notice that I have 9 large ore storage buildings with just 6 mines.

This is just in this city. Others are similar.

Yes, but i dont understand why
I see 5 Reasons to have more than one Storage
1: To split the traffic
2: You have too much Production so that one Storage can not handle the amounts
3: To Reduce the Driveways
4: You have so many Specialised factorys that you need more trucks to deliver the Raw material to them
5: The factorys are so spread that they are out of range

but i dont see the need of 9 Storage for 6 Oil Pumps/Mines/Fields
my current ration over all 4 industrys is more like 3 Storages for 30 Mines/Fields

In the end the Industrial storages only store Stuff and Deliver it to the Specialised Factorys
Sure make 6 instead of 3 to have a bit Raw material in Reserve but i really see no real need for more than that

Understand me right, if it works its all fine, you can play as you love it, its just that i dont see this as a good suggestion to place so many,
6 Storages for each big Ressource building would mean instead of 2 oil storages i would need 162. And sure the mod i use halves the traffic, but i really dont understand your number

I believe what you do not realize is how production increases for both extractors and processors as your industries level up, or when you add worker's barracks.

The example I give people is that a level 1 large ore mine will extract 11,200 units of raw ore per week. A level 5 large ore mine with 20 worker's barracks will extract up to 25,984 units of ore per week. All that ore has to go somewhere and you do not want the mine's trucks to be exporting it. Leave that to the storage units.

Pretty sure i know that
My ore and Oil after expanding it

Here nicer to see before expanding them

Here Forest and Farms
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3284448711

Forest has 3 Forest Storages
Farms have i mean 4
Ore has 4
Oil has 6, mostly because so i could reduce traffic

That said, the ressource need surely to go to somewhere, but warehouses dont remove the ressources, only Producing buildings and export removes the Ressources, and as long as the existent warehouses can manage that traffic and have enough space to balance the income outgoing ware flow, i dont see a need to have more

I still do not see 20 workers barracks at any of your industries.
Priest 8 10 Jul, 2024 @ 9:02pm
Because i have not enough people at the moment, and it does not matter since the restricing factor is not the storage buildings, i could more than tripple the ouitput and would not need any additional storage building

And lets rfemember you said
6 Storage Buildings for 1 Ressource building
I posted pics with 1 Storage Buildings for 10 Ressource building

Even if we take the up to 100% Bonus production in consideration its still
6S for 2R versus 4S for 50R
Or
3 Storage for 1 * 100% Production versus 1 Storage for rough 12,5 * 100%

Or different said you say 300% must be storage, my posts show storage can be 8%.

And again its completely fine to play as you do, sometimes i place 100 000 Bunker beds for 20 000 People, just because i like it. Its just that there is no real need to do so

You do not need a population of 60,000 or more to place worker's barracks. Placing them will draw people in and increase your population.
Priest 8 11 Jul, 2024 @ 11:25pm
I dont want more people at the moment, i did everything to keep the Population around 20 000
More People = Slower Speed up = Annoying for some stuff you need to let the game run

This shows you are importing 75% of your forestry. Maybe make sure you have dark green forestry resources on the ground first. This way you don't need to import anything.

I highly recommend adjusting budgets back to 100%, moving these around can cause instability. I find it easier to just leave them all at 100%. I mean this game just throws money at you, especially Industries DLC. You are still making $25k per week and importing 75% of your product.

But you're making a ton of money, you are not losing anything.

Just go to the landscaping tool and plant trees and make the ground green, then harvest the trees and it should eliminate imports.
