what causes memory leaks?
i've noticed that by far the most common exceptions i see when my game crashes are related to running out of memory. as far as i can tell, it's not tied to any one specific mod, just having big mods like custom regions (unless it's custom region support - i've noticed i get crashes even when i'm only using it as a dependency for threat theme mods). does anyone know of something that's going wrong in the game or mod framework that could be eating up the memory, or do i just have to accept that this will keep happening if i want to play modded? i don't know anything about how computers work so i'm asking in here. this doesn't happen to me with any other games, so i don't see how my computer could be the problem.

well, memory leaks specifically happen when the dev fails to keep track of and free allocated memory, so everything gets kind of locked up indefinitely. given that you say this is occurring with multiple large mods, it sounds more likely that you just don't have enough memory (rather than leaks).

... and i just realised this thread is months old. welp.
I think x64 world can help with memory leaks
