I have a mod idea if anyone wants it...
I was in the middle of sleeping earlier, and I woke up with this idea.
Somehow after months of not playing Rain World, I had this random idea out of nowhere and felt compelled to look, and sure enough I can't seem to find anything on the workshop. Or maybe I'm just unlucky.
I'm not a modder, so I can't really do much, so I'm leaving the idea here for someone else.

Wild/NPC Slugcats.
That's it. It seems fairly simple, right? My idea was somewhere along the lines of their AI being nearly identical or similar to scavengers, but it's all changed to be slugcat themed.

- I don't know how rare they would be, but maybe they'd have a small percentage chance to spawn near empty shelters after a cycle? Maybe upon entering a region, including when you start the game, they'd have a chance to spawn then? Or maybe that'd be something in the Remix settings to choose how rare they are. Regardless, my idea is that only 1 slugcat will ever spawn in these cases.
- Maybe they'd just be roaming and surviving and you run into one, maybe they start following you and helping you mayhaps? It'd probably be like having a scavenger with you at all times, except you don't need pearls for them.

- Of course, they'd go into player shelters when it's time to hide from the rain. And you might bump into one if you were cutting it close with the rain, being able to advance through a cycle with one in the same shelter.
- Maybe you'd wake up and find it won't leave your immediate vicinity and starts following you around everywhere. I don't know how pouncing over gaps would work, but it'd probably be difficult. Idk, I'm not knowledgeable on this.

- Essentially being able to do whatever the player Slugcat can do. Pick things up, throw them, jump, pounce, maybe even doing some of the special maneuvers, but again I don't know how difficult that would be to make them do that.

All of this would have to take the player into account though, in terms of fighting.
I remember there was a mod for scavengers that made it so that they couldn't throw spears in risk of hitting the player when they try to throw it at something else. That could be a solution.

If people have already made mods where you can have Slugcats as NPCs then please tell me here. It may not be the same idea, but it is the same concept, so I'll take what I can get.

I mean there was a similar mod that it's "Adult Pups" but I don't know how difficult the AI making is but you can try it. It's in RainDB (website) because it got removed from the workshop.

Why was it removed from the Workshop?

Another good mod which got removed called "Gill Issue" basically made it so the Blue Water Breathing Slugcat could actually breath under water just like it could before it got turned into a DLC.
