Lots of worthless IC code
There are 2,858 IC programs on the workshop and 2,800 of them are worthless. I wish I knew the programming so I could pick one and correct it, but I just play casually. Looks like just another reason to not play this game. Along with the developers screwing up the options to be able to play the game the way you want instead of the way they want you to. Back to the uninstalled/hidden list for the game and onto something else again.

Is pretty great achievement to check all coding mods in workshop. I usually look only for newest updated.
Best place to got working code is discord channel. I did learn mips and got tips there.

I spent an hour before the current patch, looking for something to for the IC chip for filtration. Everything I tried had an error line in it, usually a bad reference type. I also used the 'newest updated' for the search. There were a couple that were to big to even use, after taking out some # notation so they were small enough, nope error code again. When trying solar last week, same issue, even with something that was "updated" two weeks before. I just went old school for that and used batch writers etc to get it to work. I understand that with the developers changing things that mods are going get broken, but just trying to find something now is stupid in the workshop. I want to spend my time playing the game, not looking through crap so I can play the game.

If you're still looking for a solar tracker, I have one uploaded that still works and seems pretty popular.

Yeah, the workshop in any early access game is going to be full of outdated stuff. Just look at the Space Engineers workshop. If you really like some script that is outdated, you can ask for an update and I'm sure someone will oblige. It would be good to purge old code from the workshop but it's really hard to do.

There are plenty of games that have mods etc and seem to be able to control the outdated/worthless stuff. For example Timberborn does this well.

JeanDeaux thanks - I mark your item. But, I have already uninstalled and hidden the game at this time and moved on to something new. Looking into Farm Sim 25, not sure if I want to drop that much money into it though.

Thanks for the responses, but very disappointed in the direction the game keeps going. Giving the players less and less control over how they can setup & play the game is disappointing. I liked not having to deal with food/water while still having to deal with O2, filters, etc. I also liked being able to have ruins to salvage if I wanted. I will check back again in another year and see if things improved for the better or just went down the crap hole more.
