so for the last 2 days ive been expieriencing with changing textures. At first it started off with insurgency, then i thought hey, there isnt almost any textures for contagion so might as well do some for that game. I just tried to do the same thing. so i got the 2 files ( r700_id1_diff.vtf and r700_id2_diff.vtf) i didnt know which one was which so i just put a picture over both. I dropped the edited files (in their folder) into the vpk application, then went to contagion>addons, and dropped the VPF file in. Went into the game and i saw the gun on the ground. IT WORKED!!!! The first try and the texture looked how i wanted it to. Then i picked it up. IT LOOKED THE SAME. since both files are edited i have no idea what to do. Can anyone help?
P.S. If someone does help me then i will give them credit in every workshop file i upload.
